Because When Your Child Is Locked Up, Your Heart Is Too.

WHO WE ARE

A safe, judgment-free space for mothers of incarcerated children to feel seen, heard, understood, and supported. Having a child who is incarcerated can bring emotions that are difficult to put into words. You may feel heartbroken, angry, worried, ashamed, overwhelmed, or simply exhausted from trying to hold everything together. You may feel like you have to be strong for everyone else while quietly struggling with your own pain. Moms Locked In was created because you deserve a place where you don't have to carry all of that alone.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO EXPLAIN YOURSELF HERE.

You don't have to defend your child, explain your love for them, or pretend that everything is okay. You can talk about the hard days, the unanswered questions, the worry, the disappointment, the fear, and the hope without worrying about being judged.

Sometimes, you don't need someone to tell you what you should do. You just need someone who understands. Moms Locked In brings mothers together who can listen, relate, encourage one another, and remind each other, "You are not alone."

WE SEE THE MOM BEHIND THE STORY.

Your child's incarceration does not erase who you are. The world may focus on your child's actions, their charges, or their incarceration. But there is a mother behind that story who is living with the emotional impact, too. You may still worry about your child, love your child, pray for your child, and wonder what their future will look like. You may also be dealing with feelings of guilt, anger, grief, disappointment, or even judgment from people around you. Moms Locked In makes space for all of it. Your feelings matter. Your experiences matter. Your story matters. And most importantly, you matter.

Your Support Can Change a Mother’s Journey

Your Support Can Help a Mother Feel Less Alone.

There are mothers carrying this experience quietly every day. Some may feel isolated. Some may not have anyone they trust enough to talk to. Others may simply need a safe place where they can finally stop pretending they are okay.

Your donation helps Moms Locked In continue creating a supportive community where mothers of incarcerated children can find connection, encouragement, and a place to be heard.
